Recall that peonies have been known to mankind since ancient times, and mentions of these beautiful plants are even in the records of the philosopher Theophastus, who lived in Ancient Greece.

 

This plant got its name for a reason. The Latin roots of the name of this flower are a reference to the healer Pean, who allegedly healed not only ordinary people, but also mythical creatures from wounds received in battles.
